November 18-22, 2019 Pennsylvania observed Students Experiencing Homelessness Awareness Week. Efforts across the commonwealth included educational, community service, fundraising and advocacy events to address this critical issue and bring attention to students’ needs. On November 20, a presentation regarding the joint resolution of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the Pennsylvania Senate was presented at the Capitol Rotunda. The following day, an original play, #IWillBeYourVoice: Stories of Homelessness and Hope was showcased. On November 22, hundreds of individuals wore red in support of students experiencing homelessness. The week culminated in the Capitol building bathed in red at sunset.
