EMPOWER 2023 will offer professional development focused on out-of-school time (OST) programming. Pennsylvania and national experts will present the latest research and trends in OST programming, OST programming, STEM, mental health, advocacy, youth voice and much more.
Afterschool administrators, enrichment providers, teachers, social workers, youth development workers, summer learning staff, early childhood professionals, student support specialists, higher education staff, business and industry partners and other professionals who work on behalf of children and youth outside of school hours are encouraged to attend.
The 2023 Pennsylvania EMPOWER OST Conference is a Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC nationally approved conference. Pre-approval from your program officer is required to attend.
Learn more > >2024 ELO Conference is a unique opportunity for educators with Pennsylvania's Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) programs to deepen their knowledge, enhance best practices and hear innovative solutions for working with students in out-of-school time.
The conference is restricted to 21st CCLC grantees. Each program is required to send a minimum of two individuals. There is no cost to attend.
The ELO Conference is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and is held in collaboration with Center for Schools and Communities.

The conference will provide new practices, perspectives, and connections, and attendees will increase their knowledge of literacy development, learn skills to help students in diverse circumstances succeed academically and learn ways to improve service delivery.
