CAMP HILL, Pa., August 30, 2019 – Center for Schools and Communities is pleased to announce its Research and Evaluation (R&E) Group will conduct the evaluation on an exciting program for teacher preparation and development with Penn State Harrisburg. The college received funding last year to develop and plan an undergraduate residency program, and this year’s $300,000 in funding will support the full implementation of the program. The initiative is a part of Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf’s commitment to increase and retain the number of qualified teachers serving the state’s public schools. The grants represent the second year of funding for one of the nation’s most ambitious yearlong educator residency initiatives.
R&E Group at Center for Schools and Communities manages projects in their entirety from conception to execution; offering comprehensive services including developing data collection systems, preparing grant applications, conducting simple and complex quantitative analyses, authoring general and technical reports, and assisting with program design. More than 20 years of experience and key partnerships with universities, state and national organizations augment the Center’s research and program evaluation services.
