Center offers new SEL webinar

Center for the Promotion of Social & Emotional Learning (CPSEL) at Center for Schools and Communities recently hosted a dynamic webinar, “Implementing SEL to Meet Every Student’s Needs.”

Presenters Jessica Berlinski and Lori Vollandt offered practical advice ways to ensure that your SEL programming is meeting the needs of learners who each bring unique strengths, cultural assets and often trauma to class each day.

Berlinski serves as the director K-12 of Ripple Effects. She brings close to 15 years of experience in social and emotional learning and technology and her work has been featured on NPR and in Forbes and Newsweek. Vollandt is founder of Achieve Beyond the Binder Education Consulting. She’s retired from the Los Angeles Unified school district after 30 years; spending the last 14 years of her service as coordinator of health education programs promoting social, emotional learning and wellness.
